  1. A young man employed to prepare tea (the drink).
    • 1985, Judgments, etc., of the Arbitration Court of New Zealand, page 697:
      The two parties differ about the actual request, Keegan claiming he was told, by reason of the departure of Davis, to take over the function of teaboy. The employer says he merely asked Keegan to perform that function on the one occasion.
