tap, rack, bang (uncountable)

  1. (military, firearms) A technique for clearing a jam or misfire, consisting of applying pressure to the floor plate of the magazine to properly seat the magazine, manually cycling the action to eject an unfired round, and aiming and attempting to fire again.
