- (sometimes impersonal) to splash with scattered drops or a small amount of some liquid, to spatter, to sprinkle
- Sluta kasta stenar i vattnet! Det stänker.
- Stop throwing rocks into the water! It makes it splash.
- Han stänkte vigvatten på vampyren
- He spattered holy water on the vampire
Usage notes
[edit]The immediate intuition is of many small drops, whereas skvätta is for larger blobs of liquid.
