Compare with Akkadian 𒄿𒊕𒄫 (i-šaq-qir /⁠šaqāru, išaqqir⁠/, to pierce, to decimate) and Arabic سَقَرَ (saqara, to strike with hot heat, sunstroke, to burn up or scorch, to hurt or damage especially with heat).
