- One who speeds, or exceeds the maximum legal speed limit.
- (dated) A machine for drawing and twisting slivers to form rovings, in spinning.
- (rail transport) A motorized railroad track crew cart.
- Coordinate term: handcar
- (industrial relations) A fast worker selected by a company to exemplify the rate of work generally expected; a pacesetter.
