Etymology

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish صوقلمق (soḳulmaḳ, to be introduced, made to enter and penetrate, pushed into, to push into or insinuate one's self into a place or among others, to be stung by a bee),[1] from Ottoman Turkish صوقمق (soḳmaḳ, to push, to thrust into, to insert, to sting or bite), from Proto-Turkic *suk- (to stick in, to insert).[2][3]
