[edit]From a South Slavic language; compare Serbo-Croatian suditi (“to judge, to trial”), Old Church Slavonic сѫдити (sǫditi, “to judge”); ultimately from Proto-Slavic *sǫditi (“to judge”).[1] Borrowed later than the doublet sundoj.
