- to clean up, to decontaminate, to sanitize
- Marken kring den gamla fabriken är giftig och måste saneras
- The land around the old factory is toxic and needs to be decontaminated
- to redevelop (a neighborhood)
Usage notes
[edit]Implies a bad contamination, like toxins or radioactive material. English sanitize may partly be considered a false friend.
