rellie (plural rellies)

  1. (informal) relative (someone in the same family)

Similary, corresponding with genealogists in Australia soon introduced me to "rellie." It took me some time to realize that this was not an abbreviation for pickle relish. It means relatives, as in "I just came back from visiting my rellies."
