[edit]- punktur og pasta (common among children)
Etymology
[edit]Borrowed from Italian punto e basta (literally “period and that's it”) via Danish punktum og basta.
Basta is not used in other contexts in modern Icelandic, and so many speakers (particularly children) instead say punktur og pasta (literally “period and pasta”).
Interjection
[edit]- and that's final!, end of discussion!
