[edit]off-season (plural off-seasons)
- The part of the year when business is most slack and there are fewest clients or visitors.
- Synonyms: low season, white week
- Seaside resorts in the off-season are really depressing.
- (sports) A period of time when regular competitions are not being held, or when an athlete is not participating in competitions.

- Alternating off-season and precontest cycles in bodybuilding over a period of years will result in the relatively quick development of a championship physique.
