Etymology
[edit]nypa + sax. Probably because its shape is similar to the scissors popular in old time, when scissors were made of one single piece metal without the pin.

- (glassblowing) a tool used for forming hot glass by e.g. pinching it. When wet, the tool is used in the process of separating the blown glass object from the glassblowing pipe
