[edit]From international scientific vocabulary, from New Latin, from natriuresis + -etic = natr- + -i- + uresis + etic; the combining forms are ultimately from New Latin natrium (“sodium”) + Ancient Greek οὔρησις (oúrēsis, “a making water”).
