[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish نقلاً (naḳlen, “by way of tradition”),[1][2] from Arabic نَقْلًا (naqlan) adverbial accusative of نَقْل (naql, “transport”), verbal noun of نَقَلَ (naqala, “to transport”).[3]
