Middle English

Noun

myller

  1. Alternative form of mylnere

Swedish

[edit]

Noun

[edit]

myller n

  1. a large, disordered (moving) mass of humans, animals, or things, a swarm, a hive

Usage notes

[edit]
  • The immediate intuition is of a moving mass, but a myller of for example streets or flowers doesn't sound off either, especially not for a disordered mass.
  • Close synonym of vimmel, which is often of larger, less flimsy things, including people (though myller can also be, with a looser/"swarmier" feel).
