murska
Appearance
Finnish
[edit]Etymology
[edit]mur- + -ska, from the same root as muru, murea and murtaa.
Pronunciation
[edit]Noun
[edit]murska
Usage notes
[edit]- In principle, murske is the product of crushing something on purpose and murska is a by-product or something that occurs naturally. The usage is not completely logical, though. E.g. "crushed ice" is usually called jäämurska even when produced on purpose for drinks etc.
