[edit]From Proto-Albanian *merusa, from Proto-Indo-European *mer- (“to die”), cognate with Middle High German morsch "decayed, pulpy", Lithuanian mir̃ti, Scottish Gaelic marbh, Latin morior.[1] Alternatively, from Macedonian мрша (mrša) or Bulgarian мърша (mǎrša).[2][3]
