  1. tic-tac-toe, gomoku, and similar games where the goal is to get a certain number of the same mark in a row (with the marks usually being crosses and circles)
    Synonyms: (tic-tac-toe) tripp trapp trull, (tic-tac-toe, Finland Swedish) bondschack, (tic-tac-toe) tre i rad (three in a row), fem i rad (five in a row, etc.)

Usage notes

Usage appears to vary. People into more advanced variants on a larger grid (as a hobby) seem to mostly equate luffarschack with those, while others are likely to equate it with tic-tac-toe.
