lithium fluoride (uncountable)

  1. (inorganic chemistry) A salt that may be prepared by the action of hydrofluoric acid on many lithium compounds, occurring naturally as griceite; its crystals are used in optical instruments, and in radiation dosimetry (based on its radiothermoluminescence).
