[edit]From Proto-Finnic *lëëko, borrowed from Proto-Germanic *lēgō. Doublet of laho and lieka.

- (botany) Any plant in the family Lycopodiaceae, a club moss or clubmoss.
Usage notes
[edit]Some species in the family Selaginellaceae have "clubmoss" in their common name, but botanically they belong to spikemosses.
