1. to search at, to search with, to look at [with dative]

   Hefurðu prufað að leita á Google?

   Have you tried searching with Google?

2. to frisk someone, to search someone [with dative]

   Lögreglan leitaði á mönnunum þremur en fann ekkert.

   The police tried frisking the three men but found nothing.

3. to make passes at someone, to make advances [with accusative]
