Usage notes
[edit]- Traditionally the division Bryophyta was further divided into mosses (Musci), hornworts (Anthocerotophyta) and liverworts (Hepaticophyta, Hepaticae, or Marchantiophyta). Currently these are considered to be three independent divisions. The mosses are confusingly called Bryophyta, and the other two are Marchantiophyta and Anthocerotophyta.
