[edit]From Old Javanese kĕbon, kĕbwan (“garden, plantation”) (compare to Javanese ꦏꦼꦧꦺꦴꦤ꧀ (kebon, “garden, plantation”)), affixed form of bwah, wwah (“fruit”) (compare Indonesian buah (“fruit”)). Doublet of kabun.
