From kaffe (coffee) +‎ gök (a mouthful amount of liquor). According to SO and SAOB attested since 1890.

    • 1873 November 5, Es. a. m., “Små res-skildringar. [Small travelogues.]”, in Wermlands Läns Tidning[1], page 3:
      Under det hästen hvilade och förtärde sitt foder, togs in en och annan kaffegök, hvarigenom de stelnade lemmarne blefvo uppmjukade och kroppen varm.
      While the horse rested and consumed its fodder, an occasional cup of liquored coffee was taken in, whereby the stiffened limbs were softened and the body warm.
