Usage notes

• It is mainly used in formal, written language. In spoken language, it is better to use miatt or -ban/-ben.

  A motoros a baleset következtében meghalt. ― The driver was killed due to the accident.

  A motoros a balesetben meghalt. ― The driver was killed in the accident.

• It usually refers to negative causes. If the reason is pleasant and useful, use instead eredményeként or eredményeképpen.
