(ḥtp, “to be content, at peace; contentment, peace”), a common element of Ancient Egyptian personal names, with the vowels taken over from its descendant, Coptic ϩⲱⲧⲡ̄ (hōtp̄); Ancient Egypt is the focus of several Afrocentric conspiracy theories.
