From Proto-Norse ᚺᛡᛁᛞᛖᚱᛡ (hᴀiderᴀ) (Björketorp stone), ᚺᛖᛞᛖᚱᛡ (hederᴀ) (Stentoften stone), in turn from Proto-Germanic *hidrê.
