- (obsolete, organic chemistry) An organic base, C6H6N4, produced by the action of ammonia on glyoxal.
- (organic chemistry) The organic compound 1-methyl-2-(phenylmethyl)-4(1H)-quinazolinone (a fused derivative of pyrimidine) found in the toothbrush plant, Glycosmis pentaphylla, sometimes used to ease the pain of arthritis
