[edit]From galawan + -g + English breezy, literally, “breezy moves”. The latter term is from Breezy, nickname of hip-hop and R & B artist Chris Brown. Brown was known in the Philippines around 2010s garnering Filipino fans into his fan base, known as Team Breezy, as well as inspiring other Filipino R & B and rap groups to appear such as Breezy Boyz. The term breezy was also eventually associated sometimes with thug life culture, such as hip hop fashion, street talk, and crude underclass streetlife behavior. See also English easy-breezy.
