et ceteræ
Appearance
English
[edit]Phrase
[edit]- (hypercorrect, obsolete) Alternative form of et cetera
Usage notes
[edit]- A hypercorrect form of et cetera, mistaking its plural neuter form as a singular feminine one and usually ignoring its position in the sentence. Only actually correct when used for a list of women in the subject of a sentence, a situation where English generally prefers "et al.".
