[edit]From Ancient Greek ἐπεξήγησις (epexḗgēsis), from ἐπεξηγέομαι (epexēgéomai, “I explain in detail”), from ἐπί (epí, “on top of”) + ἐξηγέομαι (exēgéomai, “I narrate, describe”).
