  1. (transitive) To cause (other people or another person) to suffer the same fate, or to feel the same negative mood.

      I feel bad for him, but at the same time I cannot let him drag me down into his depths of negativity.
  2. (transitive) To earn, as in wages from a job.
    You're dragging down 50k these days, right?
