[edit]From Proto-Slavic *dojiti, from Proto-Indo-European *dʰeh₁(y)-. Cognate with Upper Sorbian dejić, Polish doić, Czech dojit, Russian дои́ть (doítʹ), and Old Church Slavonic доити (doiti).
