[edit]di- (“oral”) + -ni- (adjectival) + -si- (modal) + -∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -ł- (classifier) + -yéél (neuter perfective stem of root -YÉÉL, “to be calm”).
The root onset, originally *gh (> y), devoices after ł-classifier: ł + ghéél > ł + héél.
