călare
Appearance
Romanian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Late Latin caballāris, caballārem, ultimately from Latin caballus (“horse”). Another theory suggests caballārius (cf. the old form călariu), with a change in declension. Compare Aromanian (n)cãlar, cãlari; cf. also Albanian kalëroj.
