[edit]From cìoch (“breast, mammary gland, pap”, noun) + -ag (a feminine suffix used to form nouns meaning a smaller form of something) + tràghad, genitive singular of tràigh (“beach”) (from Old Irish tráig (“strand, shore, ebb-tide”)).
