[edit]Borrowed from Ottoman Turkish بوزطوغان (bozdoğan). Cognate with Bulgarian боздуга́н (bozdugán, “mace”), Hungarian buzogány (“mace”), Polish buzdygan (“mace”), Macedonian боздоган (bozdogan, “mace”), Serbo-Croatian буздован (“mace”), etc.
