brzëczka

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Kashubian

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

Uncertain. Boryś refutes a connection to Proto-Slavic *brečьka, given that Kashubian ë can only result from *i, *y, or *u, instead suggesting brëcza +‎ -ka, where the r changed to rz via assimilation to cz.[1]
