Borrowed from Belarusian бра́згаць (brázhacʹ), from Lithuanian brazdėti.^[1] First attested in 1642.^[2]

Usage notes

The term is not recognized in standard Polish and is proscribed in Lithuania, where trzaskać is prescribed instead, as the word is seen as an unwanted loanword.
