[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish بویوندرق (boyunduruk, “yoke”), itself from Proto-Turkic *bōńduruk (“yoke”). Cognate with Azerbaijani boyunduruq, Kazakh мойынтұрық (moiyntūryq), Kyrgyz моюнтурук (moyunturuk), Turkmen boýuntyryk, Uyghur بويۇنتۇرۇق (boyunturuq) and Uzbek boʻyinturuq.
