blend in (third-person singular simple present blends in, present participle blending in, simple past and past participle blended in)

  1. (transitive) To add (an ingredient) by mixing or blending.
    You have to blend in the eggs very slowly.
  2. (intransitive, often followed by "with") To fit unnoticed into the surroundings.
    Antonym: stick out
    He disguised himself as a businessman to blend in with the others wearing suits.
    The aliens adopted human form in order to blend in.
