blasslila
Appearance
German
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From blass (“pale”) + lila (“lilac”).
Pronunciation
[edit]Adjective
[edit]blasslila (indeclinable) or (informal)
blasslila (strong nominative masculine singular blasslilaner or (rare) blasslilaer, not comparable)
Usage notes
[edit]- The adjective is usually treated as invariable in the formal standard language, thus neither declined forms nor comparation forms are used.
- In less formal style and in the vernacular, lila has normal inflected forms. An -n- is then infixed before (vocalic) endings. Additionally, it has also inflected forms without an infix. Compare the same in lila and rosa.
Declension
