[edit]Borrowed from Japanese 美少年 (bishōnen びしょうねん), from Middle Chinese 美 (mˠiɪX, “beautiful”) + 少年 (ɕiᴇuH nen, “teenaged boy”) (compare Mandarin 少年 (shàonián)).
