bedrijfsklimaat

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Dutch

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

From bedrijf (company) +‎ -s- +‎ klimaat (climate). It seems likely that the word is a calque of German Betriebsklima. Note, however, that the German word means only “working atmosphere”, whereas the Dutch word early on appears in both of the senses mentioned below.

Pronunciation

[edit]
  • IPA(key): /bəˈdrɛi̯fskliˌmaːt/
  • Audio:(file)
  • Hyphenation: be‧drijfs‧kli‧maat
