[edit]Borrowed from Andalusian Arabic الدار الصنعة (ad-dár aṣ-ṣánʕa), from دار الصناعة (dár aṣ-ṣináʕa), from Arabic دَار اَلصِّنَاعَة (dār aṣ-ṣināʕa, literally “house of industry”). Compare dársena and arsenal. Cognate to Catalan drassana.
