[edit]From Ancient Greek ἀρχιτεκτονικός (arkhitektonikós, “pertaining to an architect or to architecture”), from ἀρχιτέκτων (arkhitéktōn, “architect”) + -ῐκός (-ikós, “-ic”, adjectival suffix). Equivalent to architectōn + -icus.
