[edit]Etymology 1
[edit]Noun
[edit]agüita f (plural agüitas)
- diminutive of agua; a small amount of water
Usage notes
[edit]- agua is a feminine noun, but the masculine definite article is used because it starts with a stressed a: el agua. Its diminutive, agüita, stresses the second syllable, so the feminine definite article is used as with any other ordinary feminine noun: la agüita.
Etymology 2
[edit]See the etymology of the corresponding lemma form.
Verb
[edit]agüita
- only used in se agüita, third-person singular present indicative of agüitarse
- only used in te ... agüita, syntactic variant of agüítate, second-person singular imperative of agüitarse
