     I si era difícil de dir, més dificultós fóra, encara per a ella declarar el motiu que l'impulsava; perquè això fóra tant com resignar-se a passar als ulls d'en Joaquim per una noia acaserada que va a la "pesca" de xicot, cosa que no era certa.

     And if it was difficult to say, it would be more difficult even for her to explain the motive that impelled her; because that would be like resigning herself to passing before Joaquim as a girl eager to be married who was "fishing" for a boy, something that wasn't certain.
