[edit]Etymology
[edit]From Yunan (“Greek”) + -lı (suffix forming demonyms).
Pronunciation
[edit]Adjective
[edit]Yunanlı
Proper noun
[edit]Yunanlı
Usage notes
[edit]- Erroneously formed demonym, as if Yunan (“Greek”) was a toponym. Although not proscribed, there are many speakers who are in favor of the use of Greek. See also Hintli (“Indian”).
- Isn't inflected using an apostrophe as opposed to Yunan because of -lı which normally derives new lemmas.
