X-junction (plural X-junctions)
- (genetics) A non-linear strand of DNA where certain cruciform binding proteins can compete for binding.

- Linear molecules containing the same sequences are not bound, and one X-junction successfully competes with another for binding whereas linear duplexes do not compete.
